Distributed teams rarely ask “does Korea have a holiday?” They ask “do we still have a shared working day next week?” This tool walks the Gregorian calendar against both lists. Default year is 2026; 2024 and 2025 are available for retrospectives.
How to use it
- Choose territory A and territory B (they must differ).
- Choose a year. Dates come from the same holidays file that powers each country page.
- Click “Run comparison”. Results split into A-only, B-only and both.
- To import into a calendar app, open the country page and use Download ICS.
How to read the result
- “Holiday” means a public-holiday row in our dataset — not company shutdowns, personal leave, unpublished Indonesian collective leave, or mainland Chinese makeup workdays (those are working days and are not exported as holiday events).
- When both sides observe the same Gregorian date under different names, both labels appear — for example 2026-05-04 is Greenery Day in Japan and the Early May bank holiday in England and Wales.
- Planning aid only. Payroll and contracts follow official notices and your employer.
- If you paste “both” dates into a contract, name the year and territory codes and link the matching country pages so the other party can verify.

Why are some overlap days operationally unimportant?
New Year’s Day coincides in many markets but usually hurts Asia supply chains far less than Spring Festival or Songkran. The tool lists dates; priority still comes from the collision weeks in the guides.
Which UK list is shown?
England and Wales bank holidays by default. Scotland and Northern Ireland add local days — do not reuse a London office calendar for Edinburgh.
